What can I say about this beast of a machine. I've purchased hand processors and cheap blenders and nothing touches this machine for build quality. It's bomb proof! The blades are dangerously sharp and are provided for in a bread-bin type container to keep them out of harms way. The machine really is a time saver (although the washing up takes a while, but that's what dish-washers are for). It's a really useful bit of kit and I have no trepidation in blending the toughest of food groups; needless to say I thoroughly recommend the magimix. If there are any faults or breakages, the website and numerous other online companies re-sell parts for this mixer, so although at first glance, it looks expensive, it's a mixer for life. The only down side, possibly is that the beater can over beat your eggs in cake mixes, because it's that good and that quick (so best stick to a hand whisk for something delicate).

This item was recommended as a Best Buy from Which and I have to say I am not disappointed at all. The speed at which it chops food is simply giddying; I made a kilo of cheese disappear into a shredded mass in about fifteen seconds. It blends like a dream without the hassle of opening it up and scraping out the corners, which I've experienced in other machines. The motor purrs nicely and doesn't overheat even when you stress it.
Everything stores nicely, the different sized bowls all nestle together and it all fits under a cupboard despite its imposing size. The blades come in a well-designed storage box which is easy to open and extract what you need without digging through a pile of sharp things.
If you've outgrown (or, like me, destroyed) budget processors and are looking to move up to a more professional model, this is the item for you. It is more expensive than what you'll find on the high street, but it is worth every pence.
