In 1985, my Mum bought our first Magimix food processor.In 1987 my Mum sadly died and I claimed the Magimix for myself! I can't tell you how many thousands of cake mixes it has produced in all those years; I use it every day. Just recently, after 20 years of fairly heavy use, the motor has finally started to fail. I have already ordered a new Magimix, I wouldn't consider buying any other brand. I couldn't really imagine life without one, specially for cakes - it makes a lovely Victoria sponge mix. When my new machine arrives, I shall update my review - if it does me another 20 years it will be worth every penny!

Well - I have had the new magimix two years now - just getting round to this update!
I have to say this new machine isn't quite as sturdy as the original one - the lid broke very early on in the dishwasher (despite being dishwasher safe) however, it is still functional and there have been no further problems. It's every such a powerful machine and i have found the extra bowls supplied with this model very useful
I still rate it as a fantastic buy - especially for everyday use - but careful with that lid!
