This is an interesting book packed full of various spiritual exercises written by the author. Some very interesting parts on using pendulums, energy work and many techniques used in occultism. At times the take on various subjects is very much the authors point of view and there are many more ways to do things than described in this book, but I did find it a good compendium of ideas and practices to delve into. As with other books by the author the title and presentation initially put me off, but don't be fooled - it is a very insightful and well written book. Most of the techniques are meditation based, although contains some good summaries related to ceremonial magick(such as those of pentagram and hexagram uses). The material is not written with any particular bias or slant (ie it does not frame itself in the Wiccan tradition which so many similar books out there now do - and for this reason is refreshingly different). Influences appear here to be Hermetics, Thelema, Yoga, Ceremonial magick - a good eclectic mixture without any particular dogma. I'd recommend this to seekers and old hands alike.
