    Very interesting and enjoyable, a different perspective from most marketing books I have read, and it held my interest throughout.

    The thing I really liked about this book is that it does not focus exclusively with marketing physical products. Yes, plenty of space is devoted to that aspect of marketing but in every chapter there are also some great ideas and specific guidance on marketing Services, including insurance sales, travel agents, photographers and hairdressing salons to name but a few. The book held my interest throughout and I found it very helpful in my line of work, which is an independent mortgage broker.

    I learnt a lot from this book. I have read countless books on advertising and marketing, and most of them have a few ideas that you can use, but Mr Lock's book had practical tips in virtually every chapter. I liked the way he applied every technique or idea to the small business, with plenty of examples. As the subtitle of the book claims, many small business owners could indeed benefit within hours or days of applying the simple techniques that are included. Some of the ideas would cost a bit of money to implement, but most of them would cost little or nothing. Reccommended.
