Not as immediately accessible as Pacifica or Benediction Moon, perhaps because it isn't trying to be new agey, Magical Eclipse comes across as an honest tribute and enquiry into the different aspects of spirituality. The more you listen, the more becomes revealed.
Each track contributes an aspect to this:
Beautiful is so light and innocent, it will make you shiver.
Shyam (which for the longest time I thought was "Shine!") is powerful, uplifting and never fails to raise my energy.
Govindam is a Sanscrit prayer, beautiful and mystefying, that you can dance.
Eclipse is a beautiful, beautiful song with thoughtful lyrics.
Exile both evokes as well as soothes a sense of being far from home.
Chasing The Sun is a wonderful dance track - spread your arms and just take off.
If you like uplifting, heartfelt music with a real spiritual core, then you'll love this album. You can play it forever, round and round, and find new surprises as well as simply not getting tired of it. Shyam (Shine!) alone makes it wort the purchase prize. Hours of wonderful and uplifting support in a stressful world for which I, for one, am very grateful.
