This is my first Magic Lantern guide and, with the little time I've spent with it, find it very readable. I like the font, both for the headings and the text, the use of bold in the text, the use of color and the use of icons in the text. The paper quality is excellent as seems to be the binding, although the book has hardly been used. Normally, I like a bigger book (like 7x9 or so), but this is a very good size for it's supposed intended purpose as a field guide. In fact, I did take it with me instead of the owner's manual. The three plastic quick reference guide cards are a very nice touch, although I am going to try hard to learn most of the controls beforehand. Sure, I could simply read the supplied owner's manual, but this book will be opened more often as it's a much easier read. I like that he has stayed with just the camera operation and has resisted temptation to discuss photography. It makes for a more compact book and info easier to find.
