I was looking forward to receiving this book, but unfortunately I was disappointed. Quite good for those gods and goddesses that are included, but for me, there isn't a large enough range (and also it does not tell you the other names for each one, as as you probably are aware there can be many for each).

If you want a reference book about the various Gods and Goddesses of the Celtic faith this is for you. It filled in a few gaps for me and gave a couple of ideas for devotions but thats all as most of the information on the Goddess I was searching for I'd found online allready. If you are looking for a how to on performing Celtic magic as it was traditionally performed this one's not for you. The authors encourage the contents to be used in line with your own path so not very helpful for beginners either!

Well written and clear account of the major deities of the 'Celtic' world, and their relevance today. The introduction set out precisely what the book hoped to achieve and the execution did not disappoint. Each deity was introduced with a summary of the stories and myths in which they appeared, and their properties and personalities were clearly delineated. For those interested in paganism in all its aspects, this is an excellent introduction to the 'Celtic' path.
