5.0 out of 5 stars eeewww... squacky! (but in a good way), 10 Jan 2001

This book is an incredible log of the practices and writes of ancient mages, from the Aztecs and Toltecs to the Greeks and Romans to the Babylonians and Africans... yes it has it all. Not for the faint hearted, it details magical history across most of the world and how it shaped magic as we know it to be now in the classic game of Mage (the ascention), also included are rules for ancient rotes, an incredible background for possible game settings, and rule for undead mages... The Lich! An unmissable book for all Mage storytellers.
