Born the son of a poor immigrant, Vito is a beaten down Italian American who is trying to secure his piece of the American Dream. Looking to escape the life of poverty that consumed his childhood, Vito is soon swayed by the lure of power and wealth that a life of Organized Crime can bring.
A petty criminal his whole life, Vito, along with his childhood friend, Joe, will descend into the world of Organized Crime. Together, they will work to prove themselves to the Mob as they try to make their names on the streets of a cold and unforgiving city.

Fun:
From the first opening introduction to the end titles the main story is a Master-piece with really endearing characters, that you will really come to care about, with fantastic dramatic set pieces to superbly scripted cut sequences this game is simply one of the finest pieces of software to ever be printed to laser disc. To mention this games finer qualities would require far more time and space available here, its as if every possible problem within other sandbox genre games has been addressed here. The soundtrack is excellent, the game mechanics near flawless fantastic gun-play, car customisation oh my and I have not even touched upon the second disc with all the downloadable content free, this gives hours upon hours of extra missions, gameplay, characters you name it, its all there secret clothes, special cars e.g. the bat mobile, army jeeps and so on. To sum up I truly believe if you own an xbox 360 and of course are over 18 as this pulls no punches on its adult nature, then you must own this game.

Mafia 2 is a game set in america in the 40s and 50s i brought mafia because i like crime sand box sims and i like games set in the past ,mafia should not be compared with gta because it was not made to be.
the game start off in 1940s italy at the end of the war ,nice story line in the game and good voice acting,vito the main character in the game leaves italy with his family and travels to america .that is where the action begins.
the games has very good graphics and a interesting story ,the language is very strong and so is the violence ,i liked mafia and i would buy the game for the price ,if you like crime open sand box games mafia will keep you entertained ....
