I have not used this yet, but the quality is fantastic. The map is perfect. Plenty of room to write you thoughts. Make notes. Its a Moleskine so you know that it has quality built in... its small enough to fit in to your pocket and has a handy band round it.

I bought this in advance of a trip to Madrid, and it appears to have everything I could need.
There's a map of the metro, several pages of city maps (only the city centre, but I won't need much else) and then lots of pages for notes and scribbles. The notes pages are broken down by tabs, with seperate sections for food, drink, hotels, sights, etc, and a number of blank tabs so you can make your own dedicated sections. There's also a healthy number of blank pages, a section for names/addresses, a handy block of tracing paper, and a document pocket at the back for business cards and whatnot.
I think the real value in this will come from years of shared use with friends and family, as it's the perfect tome to build up your own travel guide. I'd happily shell out for the other city versions if/when I visit those places.

If you are ever traveling to Madrid this is a "must have". The pocket version is small enough to carry in a purse or pocket without being to heavy or too big. The map is INVALUABLE! You can note the places you have visited and write reviews of your travels. This will be a fabulous record of your travels to pass on to future generations or to even use when you return to the city on a future trip. It solves the problem of not being able to remember where you ate and what you ate. I had purchased the one for Washington DC a couple of years ago & I use it each time we go back. The on for Madrid was purchased as a gift for a friend who was studying in the city for a semester. I give the New York City book as gifts for visitors from foreign countries who are visiting our family. They love the gift.
