Review

"The title of Madhur Jaffrey's "Quick & Easy Indian Cooking" (Chronicle, $19.95), an invitation to fast, flavor-filled food from the subcontinent, is not an oxymoron. Most of the more than 70 recipes, from soups to sweets, can be made in 30 minutes or less and the luscious, full-page, full-color photos add to the appeal." &mdash"Bookpage", January, 2008 --This text refers to an alternate Paperback edition.

This is an excellent cookbook. The only issue is that it uses American measures.

5.0 out of 5 stars Simply Fantastic Curries, 12 Oct 2009
This is a great way to start making curries and they taste wonderful. I have made about 6 so far and each one was completely different and delicious. Dont be put off by list of ingredients as once you have them the rest is easy. Cilantro is hard to come by but Ho Hing (Chinese Supermarket)do this and fresh curry leaves that freeze really well. Personally these two ingrediants make a huge difference and elevate the curries to really good restaurant quality.

5.0 out of 5 stars madhur jaffrey's quick and easy curry, 5 Sep 2011
This review is from: Madhur Jaffrey's Quick and Easy Indian Cooking (Paperback)
Excellent quick Indian recipes. A couple of the ingredients I cannot find but there is an explanation of the flavours of these in the back and they are therefore easy to substitute. I have made the mushroom curry several times, it is delicious. A good taster of madhur jaffrey's more extensive repertoire.
