5.0 out of 5 stars Gorgeous CD 30 May 2009
Format:Audio CD
38 separate tracks by this master cellist including some absolute classics that you will never hear better played. My own favourites are Bruch's Kol Nidrei, Faure's Elegy and the beautiful Ave Maria's by Bach/Gounod and Caccini. A 'must' for any cello devotee!

Very fast delivery , although it is listed as used item, the condition of the cd is very good , and the booklet of the cd as well, not even crease. Since it is hard to buy this cd in new, even can't find it from mp3 version ,I'm really happy that I can get it from this company in a really good price. Very reliable. Thumbs up and 5 stars.

I sent "Made in England ~ The Best of Julian Lloyd Webber" as a gift to my sister. I personally love his work, that's why I thought she'd appreciate it too. Thanks for good, prompt service.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant collection of timeless cello pieces and modern ones 3 Sep 2012
By Mikicellist1975 - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
This is a fantastic collection of some of the most beautiful pieces for cello ever written!!! I already have several CDs of cello music as I love the instrument so much but wanted a CD to keep in the car for my journeys to and back from work.
This double album has all of my favourite pieces and more, from the most famous ones like Elgar's cello concerto (first movement), Albinoni's Adagio and Saint Saens' "The Swan" to lesser known pieces like Castelnuovo Tedesco's "Sea Murmurs".
There are cello classics like Faure's Elegy and Bruch's "Kol Nidrei" to pop tunes like Elton John's "Your Song" and pieces composed by Lloyd Webber like "Jackie's Song" and "Song for Baba" There is some Gershwin too and traditional tunes like "Brigg Fair". "Music of the Night" from Phantom of the Opera is also there and it is gorgeous!
A CD that appeals to everyone not just classical music enthusiasts.
Unmissable double album, buy it now!!
