Product Description

Product Description

Made to Crave is the missing link between a woman's desire to be healthy and the spiritual empowerment necessary to make that happen. The reality is we were made to crave. Craving isn't a bad thing. But we must realize God created us to crave more of him. Many of us have misplaced that craving by overindulging in physical pleasures instead of lasting spiritual satisfaction. If you are struggling with unhealthy eating habits, you can break the 'I'll start again Monday' cycle, and start feeling good about yourself today. Learn to stop beating yourself up over the numbers on the scale. Discover that your weight loss struggle isn't a curse but rather a blessing in the making, and replace justifications that lead to diet failure with empowering go-to scripts that lead to victory. You can reach your healthy weight goal -- and grow closer to God in the process. This is not a how-to book. This is not the latest and greatest dieting plan. This book is the necessary companion for you to use alongside whatever healthy lifestyle plan you choose. This is a book and Bible study to help you find the 'want to' in making healthy lifestyle choices.

Great book 14 Feb 2012
Format:Paperback
This book is amazing, its full of practical advise and encourages you to keep up the fight and not give in at the first obstacle. Its written by a real person not a plaster saint who understands the struggles of weight loss.

No ordinary book! 4 Mar 2012
Format:Paperback
This book was just what I needed! I have read many self-help books about emotional eating, but they all left me feeling that something was missing. This book filled the gap. It has led me to a deeper understanding of how my spiritual life and emotions are connected. A definite must for those looking for this connection.

P.S. Read the devotional for 60 daily readings and thoughts to keep you on track, too

Disappointing 11 Feb 2011
Format:Paperback
This book is very disappointing because it contains nothing new to any mature Christian woman. And what we already know is not even said in a different, or pleasing way. We all know that we need to be determined and pray in order to overcome "worldly desires" and that's about all this book says. Old, and too familiar, Bible quotes are trotted out with the most trivial of advice, all contained in a very light, almost banal, style. I have to say I wish I'd never bought it.

God, I recognize I am made for more than the vicious cycle of being ruled by food. I need to eat to live, not live to eat. So, I keep asking for Your wisdom to know what to eat and Your indwelling power to walk away from things that are not beneficial for me. "e;
