Fantastic Read 11 Dec 2005
Format:Paperback
This book is one that is long over due in Britain! A fantastic read that inspires one to go out and do more to accomplish their goals. It is nice that there are people within the book who are well known, such as Angie Lemar and Colin Salmon, and some that I had never heard of in my life. All have one thing in common a determination and dedication for achieving their dreams.

This is the kind of book that anyone, Black, White, Asian or Chinese can identify with at least one of the struggles which the role models featured have gone through.

I would highly reccommend reading this book.

I bought this book after booking Steven D'Souza for an event for my company where he was booked to speak on topics about networking and diversity. Both the book and Steven did not fail to disappoint.

The book provides an amazing insight into the thoughts and values of some of the most successful and respected individuals in our country. The inspiration you will attain from the book comes from knowing that many immigrants have succeeded, having come in many cases from nothing and despite all odds, have risen to the challenge, ignored that they are different or the fact that discrimination occasionally exists, but have gone on to accomplish amazing achievements.

These types of role models and their stories are needed to inspire future generations and the final chapter summarises perfectly the need to become a role model yourself and consolidates some of the key themes and characteristics that the interviewees display. In tough economic times like these this book is the perfect antidote to all the doom and gloom in the news. I believe 'Made in Britain' should be compulsory reading for all, whether you are from a Black or minority group or not, the insights obtained from this book will widen your horizons and stimulate your mind.
