Very Nice, But not flawless,

To be honest, the rest of the reviews on this keyboard are abit harsh.
This keyboard is quite cheap considering it has 12 fully customisable macro keys, which can be delayed between actions for those who play mmorpgs. The touch sensitive strip is touch sensitive.. ive had no problems with it and only requires a light touch. The appearance of the keyboard is up to personal judgement.. personally i like it, its massive, the keys are nicely spaced and it gives a good typing and gaming experience. I am someone who normally doesnt take well to change and after having my old keyboard for several years, im surprised that ive taken so quickly to this new one. The lighting is good but i would have liked to see a blue or purple light.. the metal keys do not take away from the keyboard's aesthetic value. Overall i like this keyboard and dont regret buying it :)

Some of the previous reviews almost put me off buying this keyboard, but I decided they were the exception to the rule - usually people write when they are angry not when they were satisfied.
The main complaint (before) was that the keys were not great for touch typing. I admit I've felt more responsive keys on other kayboards; they have a 'spongy' feel about them. However I found them excellent for typing unlike the comments made before, and the rest of the keyboard is a very professional build. The main attraction about the Cyborg is it's impressive light display. Yes there is no "cool" blue, but there are all shades of red, yellow and green which you can assign to different areas. You also have 12 macro keys (which I've yet to use). The whole thing was dead easy to set up; I only plugged in the 1 USB interface, there's another for a by-pass, plus audio/headphone connectors. I use the Cyborg to play World of Warcraft and its great not to have to put the lights on in the room to see what you are doing. I'd recommend this illuminated keyboard to anyone who wants the ultimate gaming experience!

Good but not perfect.,

I had high hopes for this keyboard having owned the eclpise 2 and finding it not only brilliant for gaming but also comfortable to for typing, and not too over the top, however the cyborg keyboard has some flaws. For gaming it is brilliant the the ability to light certain areas of the keyboard and not other is brilliant, as is the ability to turn off the windows button.
however from an ergonmic perspective it is a bit lack lusture, the keys feel a bit clunky, and the metal coated ones (wasd, space and arrows) have a nodd and distracting texture that makes them a different weight to the rest of the oard meaning touch typing is just unpleasent as you never know if you have pressed hard enough, the keyboard also is a tad more ugly in reality than the image shows, it looks a bit retro in a bad way, and although the build quality seems high I feel the keyboard was rushed, for example, the drivers werea mess and new ones have to be downloaded before the volume lights work, meaning you end up with 3 Saitek programs running from start up, one being the keyboard driver, one for the lights in the volume indicator (!) and one for the comand buttons on the left and right, which in a game are too far out to be of use but are great for programs like photoshop or MAX if you don't want to learn shortcuts. Also missing features from the Ecclipse 2 would be the fact that it no longer lights blue, seems lazy, and I was partial to the side lights but that is purely cosmetic. the fact that you can get the sound and mic through the keyboard is a nice adition, as is the touch sensative strip to control media tings and lighting effects. the light is bright and even in the day shows up well, apart from the metalic keys which just look crap, very tempted to swap them with the keys from my old eclipse 2 as the level of uglyness the silver adds to an already busy keyboard is indescribable. overall: strong wellbuilt and versatile keybaoard with a serious ugly problem and a gimmick overload leading to some keys being awkward if you want to type, not just play games.
