When you have to kill zombies (or bad guys in general) then a lightgun is always going to be the controller of choice, especially since the MadCatz Blaster is the only one for the Xbox. Although it's designed to look like a sub-machinegun, the green Blaster looks a little like a water pistol. There are no complaints at all about the number of features though. Every standard button on the Xbox controller is included on the gun, either on the handle or along the sides of the barrel. There's also a digital joystick on the back of the gun to help you through option screens and the like.
Of course accuracy is all important with any lightgun and here the Blaster performs very well, assuming of course you calibrate it properly before you start a game--the trick being to hold the gun as close to the screen as possible. If you're a low-down-dirty cheat there's also an auto reload option, as well as a button to switch between burst, auto and "shotgun" mode.
The Blaster has been specifically designed to work with The House of the Dead III, but will be fully compatible with all other lightgun games that are released subsequently. So, as the charmingly worded tagline for The House of the Dead says: "Pump the undead full of lead". --David Jenkins

I've used light guns since playing duck hunt on the NES and always found them to be uncomfy RSI initiators, but this is the best yet. It's comfortable to hold with a smooth trigger action that won't make your finger ache! The auto fire features are pretty useful too. The only small issue is that the rumble isn't as strong as a standard X-box controller. That said, it's still a worthwhile buy.

The blaster gun is quite good making up for its physical appearance with a good capability during gameplay. It has a few other good features as well. it is usable on many different games such as house of the dead III. Overall i'm glad i bought it but if the colour scheme and the shape were different i would be much happier.

As the title states bargain bin item.....total crap!!!My son nearly had a fit and a bad turn when he seen this "gun"
So please if you want your child to hate you buy it!!LOL.....No avoid unless your an adult and the look doesn't bother you (Hulk green, 60's Sci-Fi looking, off the plant Zarg type of a gun).
It is really cheap and nasty looking TBH.....Straight in the bin,wouldn't even embarass myself by putting into a charity shop!
