I listened to this track on the radio tonight and was so impressed I had to find out if I could get it from Amazon as it isn't released here for another three weeks. I had forgotten how good it was on the ending scene of Donnie Darko. It was originally sang by Tears For Fears years ago. This song though is more melancholy and moving. To sum it up in one word I would say beautiful.

I first heard this version on the closing credits of cult movie classic Donni Darko. It was such a moving rendition you could tell the whole cinema audience was completely captivated. I think it is better than the Tears for Fears original and captures the message contained in the lyrics of a world we sometimes find hard to understand perfectly. This is quite simply one of the most emotional and beautiful songs I have heard in a long time.

Andy Gray's remix is atrocious and sounds like he couldn't really be bothered to stick some real (trance)balls behind this. It could have been so much more. Stick to Gary Jules' original cover on CD1 which is jawdroppingly outstanding.

Eerie, moving, GENIUS!!!!
I remember this song most from donnie darko like most people who know the song. I loved it then and when I heard it on a smallville episode I began to look deeper. Read more
