I only received this marvellous book today, so first impressions only. I discovered Ms Moes artwork on Flickr a couple of years ago, and even used one of her "Mad Men Me" avatars on last.fm for a while too. Not only can she draw, she can write too.
The book is almost a Mad Men Annual, if you can imagine such a thing. Sublimely witty illustrations, and subtley amusing content, with lots of injokes. It takes a 21st century look at early sixties values, fashions and lifestyle, with it's tongue firmly in cheek. Has all those cocktail recipes you crave, the secret to a great bouffant, and a wonderful Joan Harris dress up doll (what more could you want?).
Now get me an 'old fashioned' will you?

Remember the television tie-in annuals you used to get as a kid?
Basically this is one for you as an adult!
The Illustrated World has all the fun of the show, with some fantastic art work. Don't be fooled however in thinking this is a book of scripts or a illustrated novel though, it is just simply a fun companion that I am sure anyone who loves Mad Men will love.
A must for all Maddicts!

I loved the quirky pictures and tongue in cheek humour.
A light hearted read for any MM fan.
