Product Description

'Some of my best friends are homosexuals. I just didn't expect my husband to be one too.'

A year after Antonia and Hugh move to Australia with their 4 year old son Tom, everything is going terribly well. They have a lovely house, they're very popular - and then Hugh tells Antonia he is gay and has a boyfriend ...

It's only the arrival of Ant's outrageous lavender-haired uncle Percy that lifts her out of her depression and sends her off to the gym - to combat the lardy thighs her comfort eating has given her - where she meets the mysterious James, and falls head over heels in lust.

Soon Ant finds she's over Hugo - but by then her problems are only just beginning ...

A fantastic summer read that'll leave you glowing all over. While it does take a while to sink your teeth into and the first chapter in particular seems a bit clichéd with the 'a-bit-too- posh-to-be-believably-English' Hugo coming out to his wife over breakfast one morning, but I suggest you get over this one and only irk because this is a book that'll have you roaring one minute and sobbing into your hanky the next. Antonia is a great character you'll want as your best friend, and James... well, he's the eye candy of the book that you'll all be joining your nearest gym to meet. Absolutely brilliant. A perfect beach read for the girly reader.

Very funny novel, which I devoured in a day - fantastic characters, and I'm wondering even now what they're up to and is a sequel possible? We should all be so lucky as to have an Uncle Perky.
