Smallest and Very Easy to Go Wireless for Mac Users,
By
This review is from: Macsense AeroLite 54G USB Wireless Client Adapter for Mac OS 10.3/10.4/10.5+ (Personal Computers)
Unlike other PC branded USB wi-fi adapter, AeroLite is designed for Mac Users in minds. I didn't want to buy an adapter that it looks like a PC device (cheaper, yeah actually v cheap), so I bought AeroLite. I think AeroLite is the smallest in its size and it's very easy to install & configure. Wow, it took me only 5 minutes to get on to home wireless network (108Mbps Netgear AP). Small, but its internal antenna reception is v good in public space too. I use it everyday at home and school with my PowerBook G4. I am v impressed. Shame though, it only supports Mac OS 10.3 (or above), but it's worthy to buy. I highly recommended to all Mac Users....!!!!

I got this to add wireless to my Mac Pro. It was entirely unsuitable. I returned it and the seller charged a £6 re-stocking fee, which I complained to Amazon about. Didn't get it refunded, despite my best efforts. This item is not suitable for use with a new Mac Pro with Intel processors. Don't order it unless you are 100% sure that it will work.

Not so good with O2,

This review is from: Macsense AeroLite 54G USB Wireless Client Adapter for Mac OS 10.3/10.4/10.5+ (Personal Computers)
I had an absolute nightmare with this product. Took me the best part of 3 hours to work out why I couldn't connect to the internet. The problem was that with O2 the 10 digit WEP code needs to be pre-fixed with a $ symbol for a mac install. However the AeroLite software does not accept a $ symbol on its WEP field and only accepts 10 characters
The only way round it, was to disable the WEP code which means that any Tom, dick or harry can access my network! Once it works it's pretty good though.
