Format:Paperback
These "Hands-on-Training" books are excellent. I recommend them. However, on this occassion, you will see most of the chapters and exercise taken from Flash MX "Hands-on-Training" by Kymbarlee Weil represented. The exercise resource, etc. So if you havent got one already - buy it otherwise ....

New to Flash ? 2 Oct 2006
Format:Paperback
I am one of those people who have difficulty in understanding 'How To' books, as I don't believe there is any substitute for the guiding hand of a Tutor by your side. This book blows that theory away and alters my judgement on instruction books FROM THIS SOURCE.

I would urge all those who wish to learn Flash to acquire this book, as it's the best I have bought to-date. It takes the student through every step and tells them what they should see and the 'on screen' result. Highly recommended for those new to Flash.

Being a total newcomer to Flash, I found this book and accompanying CD an absolute godsend. Where do you start when confronted by a daunting looking interface with no idea what any of it means? Answer: H.O.T. by James Gonzalez. The book is over 600 pages long and not one word is wasted. After just a week I was making Flash movies of my own (ok, not brilliant ones, but the point is I was doing it), which I really could not have imagined doing the previous week. I heartily recommend this book to any Flash 8 Pro newbies... The cover price of £[...] is just top value.
