5.0 out of 5 stars Macrame board 7 Jan 2012

This item arrived well packed and in good condition. It's a little longer than the one I'm replacing. This may be useful for some projects, but is a little more awkward to use on my lap. However, it's a very hard-to-find item and is well made and presented, and does the job perfectly. Thanks!

1.0 out of 5 stars This is not a macrame board 26 Sep 2013

I am very disappointed with this item I could have made one better myself. It is a piece of bare mdf with a piece of paper on top covered with a piece of cellophane which you are told not to take off.You are given a few metal stakes I'm not sure what for I haven't a clue what to do with them. What a waste of money.

3.0 out of 5 stars Macrame board 19 Jun 2013

Excellent value for my occasional macrame use but would buy something more robust if I was making many more items. Essentially, this is a printed bit of paper stapled on to quite a lightweight board whose density is somewhere bewteen MDF and cork. Came covered in a very flimsy plastic which I removed thinking it was part of the packaging before I saw "don't remove" printed in amongst the rest of the text on the front. Can't have made any difference to the potential longevity as I would in any case describe the whole thing as probably inadequate for heavy use.

I was very disappointed with the project board, I had a macramé board which I gave away and tried to replace it but unfortunately it was not a patch on my original. This board was just a board with paper and lines on it

1.0 out of 5 stars Project board not macrame 24 Feb 2014

Chose this rating because I requested the serrated edged macramé board and not a project board. Serrated edge holds wires and cords etc much better than pins which are used for nailing the cord to the board and can easily come out. I returned it to the USA and it cost me twice the price of buying it. Did consider cutting the edges to suit but not got that type of equipment. I would NOT use this for macramé the beadsmith serrated is far better and comfortable to use.
