I have a weakness for Linda Howard's stories, this book just fueled it. Zane, a navy seal, has been given a misson to rescue a diplomat's daughter who has been kidnapped and is behind enemy lines. It has all the hall marks of a good read, with adventure, some humour and a delicious hero. The books also introduces Chance MacKenzie and gives you an update on how the others in MacKenzie clan are doing. Finish this and you will want to read the others in the series.

Barrie Lovejoy was in need of a hero - and what a hero Zane MacKenzie turned out to be! A Navy SEAL who was determined to get her safe...and who would do just about anything for her. He's ruggedly handsome, loyal and good at his job...what more could she want except his love?
Not only is Zane in this story but the whole MacKenzie clan and we're lucky to get a glimpse of Chance in this story.
Another excellent story by Linda Howard - the pages just keep on turning and you can't put it down!

Mackenzie's Pleasure is a great story! It's the first one of the Mackenzie saga that I've read and I loved it. It's fast paced, interesting, has great characters and a nice plot twist at the end. Read it, you won't be sorry.

I love the way Linda goes on in the epilogue to paint a picture of Zane and Barrie's lives after marriage. To stop without telling us what happens next was to much to bear. Now, I can't wait until we get a chance to read about Chance, the Mackenzie boys and espeacially about Nick. She's a feisty one and the guy for her...well...only Linda knows. P/S: Does Linda have other fans in Malaysia? Get in touch...I'd love to hear from you.

Barrie is a strong woman in a bad situation. Zane is her rescuer. Let me tell you with a guy like Zane, I'd be willing to beat him to the ground any way possible. His intensity, his sensuality, his concern for Barrie - this is the way romance should be written. Only one thing really bothered me - we meet him as a baby, learn a little about him as a boy - & then he's all grown up. For the first 2 books, you feel almost maternal towards him than WHAM! He turns into this major hottie. But it was definately worth the mixed feeling. Am seriously looking forward to Chance.
