Product Description

A new age has come, an age where inter-planetary travel is common. There are still bridges left to cross, a team of five scientists battle their way towards a planet holding the key to life as they don't quite know it.

With a small buzz the robot slowly began to come to life. It's miniature systems working hard to start it up, this was clearly a struggle. 'What an odd little thing', she thought to herself. While she had worked with robots before, this had to be the strangest yet. She wasn't quite sure what to make of it. Why is it here, did Eddo know that it was here, why didn't he let anyone know, how will we know the correct commands for it? Before she could worry herself too much over this, the robot had fully awakened.
"Hello" it said, in a high pitched almost squeaky kind of synthesized voice, this was no human recording like the robots she was used to listening to.
"Hello" she said back, before she could stop herself. "My name is Kan, are you aware that this ship is now operational, and moving towards the edge of the solar system?"
"Kan, to which ship are you referring?" it almost sang back to her.
"What is your name, little robot?"
"4 am Artificial Neutral Intelligence Bot. You may call me ANIB for short if you wish. You can find more about my functions in the manual in the drawer next to where you found me. Now, if you don't mind, 4 should like to go back to sleep now. Good day, Kan." And with that, it folded itself up, and wheeled itself back into the cupboard that Kan had pulled it from.

This is a fantastic first novel from an up and coming new author, I can't recommend it enough. Hopefully there will be more books soon.

1.0 out of 5 stars Save yourself the trouble 6 May 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This was a total and utter waste of time and even the free price tag doesn't pay me back for the lost time I wasted on this.
Pages and pages of how cool and focused everyone was and not a lot else; the only really cool character was the little robot, should have stuck with him.

1.0 out of 5 stars Terrible 31 Dec 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
How anyone could recommend this is beyond me. I can only think that the 5 star reviews were put there by friends and family of the author. Apart from being poorly written it is full of typographical errors, repeated sentences and paragraphs, appalling spelling and shocking grammar. The characters are cardboard cut-outs and the story, what there is of it, is nonsense. A supposedly highly trained spaceship crew on a mission of exploration who are just dumb and with a power source fuelled by a coffee bean! I eventually gave up, something I rarely do, because it was so bad and there is a lot of good writing out there. Avoid.

1.0 out of 5 stars Written by a child?? 15 Dec 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This was an appallingly written book with huge amounts of inane repetition, presumably designed to bulk out a very short story. In addition a story about a world that uses coffee beans for all its power and a group of space explorers who eventually arrive at a planet where the buildings are made from giant pans and baking trays and is ruled by King McCain and Auntie Bessie, need I say more!!! Puerile, and I cant believe it ever made it into print. Only good point is that it was free.
