5.0 out of 5 stars Good teaching resource 9 Oct 2006

Lois Burdett has made Shakespeare's Macbeth accessible for children. The story is written in rhyming couplets making it child friendly and very enjoyable for all age groups. Burdette has incorporated copies of her pupils work throughout the book which not only shows the deep understanding of Macbeth they had but also gives loads of ideas for class lessons.

Although this book is aimed at primary school age children, my daughter referred to it when she was struggling with her standard grade class reading of Macbeth and said that it helped greatly and made the language easier to understand.

2.0 out of 5 stars Watch out - not a play! 20 July 2009
Format:Paperback
This is a nice book written in rhyming couplets, but be warned, it is NOT a play, it is a story. A missed opportunity, I think!

5.0 out of 5 stars Helpful Study Tool. 20 Oct 2013

Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
This is part of the school curriculum, Year 5 and whilst it tells the story in rhyme, it is easy for children to understand. Hopefully later on it will encourage them to read the Shakespeare version and understand what an original and unique and unsurpassed master story teller he was.
