Product Description

Product Description

What’s the hook?

Relocates the drama of Shakespeare’s Macbeth to the school football field.  Strikingly original in its approach, MacB grips boys and girls alike.  Includes engaging make characters and situations with which disenchanted readers can easily identify.

What are the themes?

Friendship, school life, mystery and imagination and individual vs society.

Teaching points?

Excellent way into Shakespeare’s Macbeth – opportunities to compare scenes on the football field with the battle scenes in Macbeth and compare the genres of drama and prose.  Gripping story line and thrilling writing style provide plenty of opportunities for shared and guided reading.

Summery of the book: this book is about two boy's who love football and both want captain. Boy's are attacked and people are left hurt and upset.
What I liked most about this book: my favourite part is the end were it get's very tense and exciting with all the troma and the truth is revealed.
My favourite character was: banksie
I liked this character because: He was sensistve, kindand friendly and was not the evil one and he seems sweet
What I disliked about this book: This book I think dragged on to much and was into football and I thought it was boring
I recommend this book: I would recommend this book to boys more than girls or people intreasted in football and sabotages .I think this book would be good for age groups between 10-16.

This book about 2 boys who want to be captin of a football team
both boys get on the team but one is captin.Trouble lies ahead.Read to find out more.

My favourite bit in the book was when the two boys went to the fortune teller. She told them stuff they dreamed to have.

My favourite character Macb,I liked this character because he was very suspiscious. He acted differently around his mum than his friends.

I didnt like this book as it had to much football in it. Ithink it should have been based on something else.

I would recommend this book because it was very suspiscous and interesting. I think this book would be sutuible for 12-15 years old who like football.

There is two boys who love to play football. They both want to be captain of St Dunstans football team. But they fall out over who is going to be captain

My favourite part of this book was at the end. When it was getting very exciting to see what happened to both of the boys.

My favourite character was Bansie

I like him because he was a kind person and he could take it if he loses a football game? He is a very good football player. But he does not boast like MacB

I can't sayone bad thing about this book because it had everything in it that you would want like : Alot of football.

I woud recommend this book to children above 11 and upwards
