I am looking to buy the game on the Mac, but the only mac version I can seem to preorder is on the official website, where it seems to suggest the pc and mac versions are on the same disc like the Sims 3. Does anyone know if this is the case, as it is far cheaper on amazon so I'd want to get it here.
It states here on EA's FAQ's forum (https://help.ea.com/uk/article/simcity-system-requirements) that there are specific requirements for Mac gamers. Sounds to me like Mr. Luke Stevens is right, the one physical copy they're going to sell is going to suit both PC and Mac software.
Tom is right, I've just read the description. I wish ASDA gave the same reassurance, as they have the cheapest rate! Oh well, I'll just have to submit. But if I pre-order will the game arrive on the day of releases or will it be dispatched on the day of release, or better still could it arrive early?
I decided to go for it even thought I have a mac, I can play it on bootcamp until then.... I assume it will be like sims 3 so that we can download a mac version when it's released :) Well I hope that is the case :P
Excellent question. The information that has been appearing about this is very confusing. Amazon.co.uk seems to suggest that the limited edition will only work on Windows XP/Vista/7. According to game.co.uk, the dvd will work on Mac OS 10.6.4. EA's own FAQ seems to suggest that Simcity will work on Mac OS 10.6.4 (https://help.ea.com/article/simcity-system-requirements). But this is in response to the question "What will my Windows PC need to get simcity running [...]?". They also make no mention of versions of Mac OS above 10.6.4. A straight answer would be nice.
