Product Description

Book Description

Apple's OS X Leopard is one powerful cat. The latest Mac operating system is faster, more user-friendly and more feature-rich than any of its predecessors. Building on the success of previous versions, this UNIX-based program is one of the most stable consumer operating systems ever designed - and one of the most enjoyable to use.

With Mac OS X Leopard in easy steps, you'll be able to unleash this powerful operating system and have it up and running in no time. In clear, accessible language, the book introduces you to the OS X environment and teaches about the user interface. With these basics mastered, this full-color, fully illustrated guide opens the gateway to the foundations of Leopard: the Dock and the Finder. The book also covers new innovative features such as the invaluable backup program, Time Machine, the organizational tool, Spaces, and the new file-viewing device, Covers.

For everyone involved in a digital lifestyle, Mac OS X Leopard in easy steps covers all of the bases; from iPhoto for organizing and editing photos, to iWeb for publishing Web pages, to a .Mac account for all of your online needs.
With the growing popularity of Mac computers the time has never been better to introduce the power of OS X Leopard into your computing life and this book will ensure that you soon have it purring like a kitten.

By David S. Labar - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Mac OS X Leopard in Easy Steps (Paperback)
This book is great for newcomers to Mac, or users who haven't touched a Mac in years. It contains just the right amount of information to give you competence (and confidence) without getting bogged down in granualar technical details. The layout is easy to read and it's enjoyable to progress along.

5.0 out of 5 stars The New Mac In Town, 29 April 2009
By C. D. Cohron "chetdc" - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Mac OS X Leopard in Easy Steps (Paperback)
If you have been in the PC world for a long time, then you will enjoy this book as a start in the right direction. The Mac is a different system and you will have to read and study to get the full benefits of the Mac system. This is a good start in that direction.
