Product Description

Product Description

Beneath the earth lie eldritch horrors, and when they live again nightmares haunt the dreams of men.

In the small Cornish town of St Veryan, a young boy goes missing and a local journalist, Angela Pellow, is sent to investigate the incident. While there, she uncovers old stories surrounding a mysterious, deserted chapel, the Tabernacle of the Levites, as well as tales of a creature, the Mab, who was once believed to have visited a plague on the town.

As St Veryan is afflicted by suicides and strange events, she draws on the help of an old friend to pierce the mysteries surrounding the Tabernacle and the malevolent figure, Arthur Dean, who once presided over its bizarre rituals dedicated to a forgotten god that lives beneath the earth.

5.0 out of 5 stars A most enjoyable read! 22 July 2012

The author brought the mythos of his story alive with an eerily fascinating history surrounding the creepy chapel in the Cornish village of St. Veryan. I became so engrossed with the storyline which brought to mind the Lovecraftian gods, the "Old Ones," that I read the book in one sitting. I thought his characters were engaging, the plot riveting and his writing gripping and concise. I will definitely look for more books to read by Mr. Stirk. He has a new fan!
