I have been struggling to find headphones that meet my needs - and for a while I thought I had found the perfect headphones in these "Athlete" sport headphones. However, the first pair broke within a month. Assuming they were a faulty pair, I complained to Amazon, who accepted a return, and replaced them. Excellent customer service which I fully appreciated. However within three weeks the replacement pair had also stopped working in one ear.
This is very frustrating. These headphones are comfortable, fit so securely that they don't need adjustment for mile after mile and seem properly waterproof - the problem is not copious sweat - and the sound was really very good. I thought the price was right too - until they broke.
If you need great headphones for less rugged use, these really are worth a try - but I can't recommend them for running.

Have read up on my sports headphones as i was hoping for a different design to the sportclip as i am not a huge fan, so was pleased when i came across the Athlete as they seemed to offer something different from your standard sports headphone;
1. For one they are named the `Athlete'
2. No in-line volume control which often just bounces around and irritates rather than helps.
3. The earbud design (noise isolation) keeps the noise from my local Gym which is very busy out.
4. The earbud is offset so it is more secure while running than many other I have tried.
5. Always wrap my headphones round my mp3 when not in use and the quality nylon cord does not tangle/kink or deteriorate.
All in all I congratulate Muse on a job Well Done top product at a reasonable price.
