Complete waste of time, had to return this as it is STILL not an SACD, it is CD only. Wish I had read all the reviews, as someone else had same problem and Amazon have not bothered to fix it.

i bought this having not got any of the previous editions purely because it had 'bridge over troubled water' on it (one of the most beautiful songs ever). so i was pleased to find that most of it is pretty good.
as with most compilations the quality of the songs varies. from the fantastic (bridge, battle of evermore - page n plant) to the good (its the end of the world - rem, sure had something - kiss!) to the not so good (the corrs, bryan adams). the not so good songs are in a minority however and in general do not tarnish the album as a whole
if you like the artists who are present then by all means get this cd as you will not be disappointed. on the other hand if you only like a couple of them then it may not be worth it. oh yeah and the dvd isnt bad either.

Great music but the format differs from description: "Please Note: Requires SACD-compatible hardware." Forget it, it is not a SACD. It is a standard CD.

A fine and well compiled collection of beautiful songs - some I like more than others - but music should be heard live. And here it is. In its most naked and true form. Just listen to Chris Isaak's Blue Hotel or Robert Smith's Boys Don't Cry.

Recommended, mainly because the R.E.M performance.
The other performances are not good selections. For example: The Cure umplugged concert was top! This concert shows very more impressive performances than "Boys Don't Cry". Probably this was the low point in the whole performance.
Ps.: This is not a SACD, this is a CD + a DVD.
