How could this board not accept older Intel Gens (before 4th Gen), when it says it supports "processors for LGA 1150 socket"? 10 Apr 2014
3rd gen like the 3750k for example is 1155 and won't fit. As for generations prior to 3rd gen it is the same story. LGA 1150 does have advantages of accepting higher ram speed this mobo accepts the fastest ddr3 ram available to my knowledge. Lga 1150 does not allow ddr4 though.
I used with a r9 280x and the same processor with no problems so I should think so. I would recommend using pcpartpicker website to check compatibility.
Will this take the GTX 760 video card? kinda of confused as its a DDR3 motherboard against DDR5 graphics card. 29 Nov 2014
DDR3 refers to RAM, DDR5 refers to GPU's. To check compatibility, go to PCpartpicker.co.uk and put the components you're using in there.
Besides the blue and black color scheme there is also an msata connector on the g45 which the g43 doesnt have. The rest is pretty much the same.
no, only 2-way sli or 3-way crossfire
