Where Have You Been All This Time?,

My sister had one of these a long time ago and kept suggesting I should get one. It is one of the few times I have not listened straight away but wished I had subsequently. Eventually she got me one for Christmas and it is absolutely fantastic!
The masher features a rather cute egg-with-a-face that acts as a very comfortable handle and the legs/feet are the masher. The masher is fixed, i.e. it is not sprung and, when not in use, the masher can stand upright for display if you should wish (or using very little cupboard space if you put it away). It needs to be handwashed, but this is easy, particularly if you rinse it under the tap after use. Anyway, I used to make egg mayonnaise using a knife to chop up the eggs as it never seemed worth getting the processor out for such a small job. The resultant mix was on the rustic side and took a couple of minutes to get to that stage - this masher made a virtually instant mix in literally just a few seconds (9 eggs); I really cannot get over how fast the task was completed. And the mix was formed from pretty well mashed up pieces of evenly chopped egg. Wonderful. Oh, and even better, there was no chasing of the eggs around the bowl; somehow this masher manages to hold onto the egg, which no doubt accounts for some of the saved time. My sister and some of her friends also use this masher to make small quantities of mashed potatoes; apparently it works very well for that (I haven't done so as I use a ricer).

This is just great and it mashes the egg totally. I can't stand chunks of egg white in my egg mayo so it suits me perfectly

Never has making egg sandwiches been so quick and easy and fun. First used one at a friends house and fell in love with it. Makes a fun gift for other friends. I would defintely recommend buying a mashy egg masher if you love egg sandwiches.
