This is a very well written book with straight forward explanations. I am not quite sure if this book should be called "MPLS Fundamentals" as it covers MPLS in great detail. I started on the "MPLS and VPN Architectures I" book, but after reading the first chapter I switched to "MPLS Fundamentals" as I preferred the writing style and explanations. I will use this book as one of my main references for my CCIP certification and I will cross-reference it with the "MPLS and VPN Architectures I and II" books for completeness.

MPLS Explained 16 April 2010
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
I have read this book once through so far, studying for my CCIP and decided to start with MPLS.

The book is very well written, organised into a good selection of chapters, and the material is presented in an understandable way, with good examples of how to implement the theory in a practical environment.

As usual with any Cisco book I intend to read it again and then start to use my new knowledge to build some GNS MPLS labs.

If your studying for CCIP or need a good beginners knowledge of MPLS then this book is a good starting point.
