I purchased my new chainsaw from MJTools and it was with me, as detailed within their marketing information, exactly on time so a first class delivery service.
I've had a couple of questions that I put to MJT - each were answered very promptly and precisely - so no problems there - first class again.

Now to the chainsaw. You have to keep in mind that you are not spending £500 - £1000 in a commercial / industrial machine but, that said, its one hell of a monster engine. One of the things that attracted me to it was that the starter mechanism is actually metal as opposed to a huge number of other machines, much more expensive, that use plastic teeth and dog drives... not good.

Assembly is really quite easy - but then again I used to teach engineering so I should not have had a problem anyway. It assembled in a logical fashion - really not difficult unless you have never got your hands on a spanner in your life. Just a couple of screws and two nuts and its together.

Starting was a bit of a shock for me - that 58cc engine could do with a kick-start - imagine - its actually bigger that some small motorcycles (remember the FS1E - it could do 60mph). However, once you realise just what is under the covers of the saw then it becomes a lot easier. left hand on the bar and right toe of your boot on the bottom of the handle - just to hold it in position - don't put all your weight on it. A couple of medium pulls to prime the carb and then a good long pull to start the motor.

I've been using it today to cut used 4x4 oak fence posts up for firewood - the saw never even noticed these. I also put it through a 12" piece of oak trunk that was damp - not a hint of a struggle.

I have only one concern... the chain tensioner is its only weak point.

OK . I already have three saws and i needed a bigger saw to log up trees. I had a choice £500+ for a saw i will use 2 times a year or £90 for this.
First thing you will notice is that all the threads are cut really badly and feel like the will strip at any second . I ran a tap through them to clean them up ad this helps. The chain adjuster is a waste of time so i made one to replace the monkey metal worm gear provided and this now works fine. You can buy a replacement and this would be the best option for a person who does not like this sort of thing.
Starting was a breeze couple of pulls on choke splutter put in choke and away we go .However hen i tried to turn the saw off it kept on going ,I could have waited for the fuel to run out but opted for taking the air filter cover off and pulling the spark plug lead off. after taking the saw apart i found that the coil ground was not connected so put it back and away to go again and stop!
Now i know you will be thinking that this is a horror story but if you have the time and the ability this saw appears to start and run well. I did have to adjust the carb a little as it did not rev out as it should but it cuts well and for what it is it is a good buy. I have given it 3 out of 5 as this will not be possible for most people and therefore you will have a dead saw from day one quick tip get yourself a bottle of marine slick 50 and spray a little into the carb when running ,there will be huge clouds of white smoke (dont breathe them in)and it will clear .I do all my 2 strokes with this and it works wonders .

At this price, you can't expect top quality. The chain has required a LOT or sharpening, but the motor has behaved reliably. I will buy a high quality chain for the future.

Ok, So I seriously debated as to whether to buy this Saw or not as it looked too good to be true. Well I needn't have bothered its excellent. I bought it to cut up an old oak tree which had been fallen for a number of years and was well seasoned. The trunk was 30 plus inches in diameter. The saw just sailed through it not loosing power at all. I struggled to start it the first time I used it but since then it has not been a problem. If you are thinking of buying a saw of this size then you will struggle to get a better saw for the price. Delivery was excellent also, and no problem to assemble the Bar and chain

Although I had an annoying problem with a troublesome over sensitive chain brake, which I must say were sorted out quickly and professionally, for which I cannot fault!!

Down to the chainsaw itself!! It is good, in fact very good, even brilliant in parts!!

The chainsaw is very powerful for the price. The chainsaw while ticking over sounds like a chainsaw five times the price of this one. Both the chains are sharp, true and of good quality it seems! I can honestly say I am truly stoked with this purchase.

If I could of justified buying another well known brand chainsaw i.e. Echo, Husky or Stihl, I would of but, I feel I would of honestly wasted hundreds of pounds. This seems at the moment it is every bit as good and well made as my 30 year old Husqvarna 50 Rancher I inherited from my father which has outlasted all my other chainsaws.

If you want to buy a true contender to the branded chainsaws buy this one, you will not be disappointed in my experience!!
