Product Description

Product Description

Vincent Company drives hire-cars by day, and lives alone in a studio flat in Acton. One evening while out for food Vincent stops at the Poco Loco cafe and starts talking to a blonde called Petra. Things progress quickly, and before he knows it, Vincent is approached by two strange men who want him to do them a favour. Meanwhile, just a few streets away, two young men are planning a robbery that hasn't much chance of turning a profit. Set in west London, 'Missing in Acton' is a low-key crime novel in the style of Raine's acclaimed first novel 'Smalltime'. As Vincent gets caught up in the local character's lives, he realises that two's company but three's a crowd.

Good stuff... 29 Jan 2012

Another excellent page turner from one of the UKs best crime writers. What Jerry Raine does so well is to define interesting characters who he weaves into the plot and creates a story that makes you feel that it could happen in your street.

You can read the book description to get a feel for the story, suffice to say that if you like low-life characters caught up in sometimes nasty situations then this is the book for you.

Check out his other books, they are just as good.
