Ordered this supposedly Miele SF-AH-30 S filter for an S400i series that uses this filter, from seller called "EUROELECTRICALS", the receipt and return address came under the name:Kenco Spares. What I received is something completely different from the Miele original S filter that I have in the machine, and indeed completely different from the picture, The one in the picture actually shows the Miele brand on the blue side. Came in a transparent nylon bag no labels, and does not fit. This is definitly going back to the seller.
Make sure you check with the seller if you are after an original Miele filter.

This was described as Miele&Cie and the picture shows the real Miele SF-AH 30 with hexagonal plastic cover. In fact, the anonymous unboxed item shipped by Bartyspares is Europart 27-ML-03, probably OEM specification equivalent. Very hard to know if this is as good, not good, or better than the genuine model. It looks OK to me and I decided to use it. Genuine item from Miele direct is about 35% more expensive. However, only 2 stars as it isn't acceptable for a spares supplier to pass off a generic product as if it were the original premium manufacturer.

Do not be fooled. Yes, it is a generic filter you are purchasing. Yes, they did picture a Miele filter making you think you are purchasing an equivalent, direct replacement. Yes, the one that ships will fit your Meile. BUT...Miele's has Activated Carbon for odor control, this generic does not. Be forewarned!

It is difficult to find replacement Miele hepa filters in the stores. The price for this hepa filter is more or less the same at most vendors, although this vendor provided the lowest price, but other vendors matched it as well. I could have gotten the 3M after market hepa filter instead, but it did not get particularly good reviews. Although, I do use the 3m filcrete after market vacuum bags and find they are excellent at lower cost than the Miele bags. So I ordered the Miele AH30 Hepa filter and the 3m bags at the same time and they came in one package. The overall price was good, and the vendor was fast.

I have a Miele canister vacuum which is over 12 years old and still as good as new. And this is saying something because i use it 3 to 4 times a week because of my dogs. This HEPA filter is expensive but seems to be worth it.
I don't replace it yearly like they say you should but when I feel the machine needs a new one. Will keep purchasing until I get a new vacuum, which I think will never happen. The Miele canister is constructed like a tank. 4 stars due to price.
