Use this with my PSP. Had trouble at first. Easy fix is to use paragon partition manager. Youll see theres 2 partitions - one for each micro sd card inserted. All you have to do is delete 1 of the partions and extend the other one. Then you use the your PC (not PSP usb) to connect to computer and drag over custom firmware root(ie Games, games xx, seplugins) and your set. Incredible product. Dread to think what an official Sony 32 gb pro duo costs. Sure they retail at over 100 quid, so with this and 2 16gb micro sd's you can get the same results for 40 pounds (depending on the best deals).

Had lotsa probs initially. Used an 8gb and a 4gb. PSP would only ever read the 1st micro sd card. After couple hours tinkering finally got a 12gb pro duo out of it. Formatted both cards individually in PC, then Pc read it as 12gb. Then transferred file folders that were on an the root of an already formatted pro duo (ie GAMES , GAMESXX, SEPLUGINS, ISO) over to new pro duo adapter and ... what dya know. . . it works a treat. Ordered 2 16gb micro sds now for the Holy Grail - a 32GB PSP!!!! After you get it working, its amazing!!!!

As the price of MicroSD cards is still much lower than the Sony Pro Duo, I decided to buy one of these for my PSP.

The adapter is exactly as shown in the image on the product page here, with a slot on each long edge to accommodate the MicroSD memory cards. I formatted a 16Gb and 8Gb SD card as FAT32 within Windows and placed them in this adapter, but the PSP refused to read any data from them. So, leaving the cards in the adapter, I reformatted them using the PSP itself and it worked first time. I ended up with what looked like a single 24Gb memory card as far as the PSP was concerned. After adding some homebrew games, emulators, music and a couple of movies, there's still loads of room left spare.

To keep this balanced, my two criticisms are minor, but worth knowing: firstly, the adapter feels quite fragile because the plastic has to be very thin to allow room for the cards and so needs to be handled reasonably carefully. Secondly, it can be hard to get the cards out of the adapter because of the very tight fit and I had to resort to using a pair of pliers (gently!) to help remove a card from one side. It may be my adapter or SD card at fault, but as the adapter isn't spring loaded, you have to rely on a fingernail to remove cards using the tiny ridge on them. Not easy in my case.

For the price of the adapter and two MicroSD cards, I've still saved a fair bit of money on the price of a similar Sony (or even unbranded) Pro Duo card. My quibbles are minor and I haven't once regretted my purchase choice.

Highly recommended.

This is a clever little dual-slot ProDuo Adapter for 2 Micro SD cards. So far I have only slipped one 4Gb Micro SD Card into one of the slots but it reads fine by my Sony Vaio HG Duo MagicGate Slot.

Strangely my Sony Camorder ProDuo slot cannot read the same SD Card but maybe I have to fill both slots with two SD Cards. I will try that.

Incidentally, Sony has stuck to their rather outdated ProDuo slot on most of their devices but individual ProDuo Memory Cards are so expensive. This is an inexpensive way to get around Sony's irritating non-standard ProDuo specifications.

I have used this adaptor with a Nokia Micro SD card 2GB inserted into slot 1, plan to insert another micro sd card in 2nd slot later - this is ok to do. Working fine in my Sony Ericsson W850i mobile phone, just as well as the original MS pro duo magicgate card (only 1GB). No manual formatting was required.
Card types & capacity can be mixed. The adaptor preserves the original speed of the inserted card/s (the slowest card sets the speed rate). Can read/write at speeds of upto 10MB a second. It does say that when using new micro SD(HC) you need to format in a Sony product before you store data ?!
I have used this fine in a card reader, it just needs to be inserted gently. In order to delete or copy data directly you have to have the microSD(HC) card/s in the adaptor or it will be corrupted, this includes not being able to transfer data direct from pc to card and then inserting into adaptor. The adaptor supports microSd 256MB - 2GB, and microSDHC 4GB - 16GB, and works on all OS (PSP / Windows / Mac). You can reuse / reformat the said micro cards in other devices.
It is a fragile adaptor due to it's nature & purpose, so it has to be handled with care, but so far very happy with this purchase, it does the job, and I would recommend it.

Works perfectly for me, I format the memory cards on my PC and put them in, can use 1 alone or two.

I copy the directory structure over from my other memory card (i didnt want to reformat in PSP because i wanted to keep pc compatibility, it seemed with 2 cards formatted in the PSP the PC could no longer read it, but I didn't carry out extensive testing since i found a way to get complete compatibility) and i can now use the pro duo directly in my VAIOs card reader, or in PSP or unplug the microSDs and plug into my USB card reader and still reads great.

Some brands of microSD are a bit fatter and so make the card bulge a little so it's harder to fit in and out of the PSP, I noticed I had this problem with my sandisk ones, but some of my other cards that were unbranded were thinner and didn't have this problem.

Overall I think it works great and no downsides yet, I would recommend this if you want some serious storage capacity or already have it in the form of microSD and don't want to limit yourself to ProDuo by buying one.
