I've had this album since December 2009, having bought a pre-release copy at a concert I went to, where Sandi was the support act. This version of the album was missing the single This Ol' World featuring Joe Bonamassa, which I've since purchased.
I bought the album simply on the strength of Sandi's performance of some of the material at the concert, and I'm glad that I did. The album is bluesy and demonstrates Sandi's immense vocal talents. This is a back to basics affair, where the songs are simple and stripped down for the most part, and a mile away from Sandi's previous, more pop orientated releases. There are a couple of very decent 'rock' tracks on the album too.
All in all, this is an absolutely astounding album, and I would heartily recommend it to anyone looking for something brilliantly simple and simply brilliant. I will be buying the official release of this album, to add to my music collection. There isn't a bad track on the album (in my opinion) and I've been listening to it pretty much every week for the last 5 months and it still sounds every bit as good as it did the first time I played it through. If this is the shape of things to come, I can't wait for the next album.
Thank you Sandi, for sharing this with everyone.
