Highly Recommended 8 Sep 2001

Format:Paperback
So far I have completed the Windows 2000 Professional and Server exams and have always found the Readiness Reviews a crucial element in studying. This book is no exception.

The book tests your understanding of the exam material with questions of the type and format you will see in the exam. The best thing about the book is each question is broken down with an explanation of why the answer is right and why the others are wrong.

You will also find that the book teaches you to pay attention to what the question is asking or looking for. This skill is important as the exam questions on the 70 -216 are long and take time to understand.

As mentioned in other reviews on windows 2000 exams do not rely on one book alone.

very very poor 2 April 2002
Format:Paperback
This book was totally useless to me when taking the 216 exam. It is rushed and full of errors, also it probably contains 10% of info which is useful in the exam. ...It is however very good at explaining the general theory behind things like the network adress translator. I think the sybex of "for dummies" series are far better. In summary i would say read it for background but don't hope learn skills. by the way the practicles are laughable.

Nothing to learn here 19 May 2004

Format:Paperback
Having used the Microsoft Readiness Review books for exams 70-215 (Server) and 70-210 (Professional), and the equivalent content in the 70-218 (Network Environment) book, this is by far the weakest of the series. There is already a 6 page set of corrigenda on the Microsoft Press website - some for typo's but a lot of bad errors and some showed they didn't realise that they were asking trick questions. For quite a few questions I doubted the answers they gave, and the explanations were rarely any help. In other books of the series the explanations discussed why the correct answer was correct and also why the incorrect answers were close but wrong. In this book the explanations were mostly just repetitions of the correct answer.

In conclusion, if you're preparing for this exam find another book to use.
