Format:DVD-ROM
It works well, installed the DVD with no problems. Just be aware its only for students! unlike Microsoft office for example, Mathworks will ask you for verification of student status else you will be running a trial! It says paperback which makes it sound like a book, but its a software on a DVD.

EDIT: Amazon has corrected their title to show DVD.

Very excellent, I used to work as undergrade with a teaching licence while studying the language. MATLAB is a language specialized in dealing with matrix or data processing, allowing you to easily transform your data into anything you can imagine with a large number of graphs. This student version includes the statistic toolbox, which provides new functions to all kinds of statistic tests, somehow necessary when processing. It's pretty cheap for all the things you can do, and it's an easy to learn language, very intuitive.

This version is to demonistorate the fetuers in Matlab, but its tool boxes are very limited.
So, you need to buy more tool boxes, which is expnsive!
