probably only need one instead of two in the pack, or 2 of different sizes would be good. having said that these are great for proving your sour dough. good result with the ridges showing when it was turned out and they stayed in place whilst the loaf baked.

I am extremely pleased with how well these do the job, I just dusted them with rye flour and the sour dough popped out perfectly. I had previously tried using a floured, cloth-covered basket with less than satisfactory results so will certainly be ordering some of these in different shapes.

Absolutely fanstatic bit of kit. Using a Banneton is pretty essential if you are serious about making Sourdough Bread. The dough is placed in the Banneton for proving before being baked. It is not necessary to use any kind of cloth liner. Simply flour the Banneton well prior to putting the dough into it (I use Semolina) Once your dough has proved then tip it out of the Banneton (one quick action) and you have a beautifully shaped loaf. Wonderful. Do not wash them - just tap out any excess flour and keep them somewhere dry.

This is really a good idea for holding your dough in shape for it's final proving before baking. It also leaves nice circular marks in the dough that look professional. Just remember to flour it well to stop the dough sticking to the basket!

I have only recently started making sourdough bread and wanted to improve the shape of the loaves. I also wanted a way to stop the dough sticking to the bowl after proving.
I used the two bannetons for the first time yesterday. Before using them for the first time, I sprinkled them with water & then dusted with flour allowing them to dry before using them.
This seemed to help because it was quite easy to turn the dough out after proving. The shape & pattern from the banneton was good. I expect the more they are used, the more 'seasoned' they will become.
All in all worth buying
