We were nearly put off buying this by the only review at the time, but we are so glad we ignored it, it gives great results with our Avtex tv which has no built in aerial, we use it regularly in our motor caravan.

I was put off by the reviews, but i can get freeview great now, couldn't get any reception on analogue or digital with my old one. and its very small. the only thing it struggles to pick up is channel 5, as with most tv's.

I bought this as a more modern, and smaller, replacement for my ancient portable set-top aerial (made from bits of bent wire!). With my old set-top aerial I got slight interference on all analogue TV channels (especially bad with Channel 5), but good digital TV pictures.
With this magic wand it was dreadful - the analogue TV pictures were unwatchable for the interference, and the digital channels had constant "break-up" (pixellation).
So I binned the magic wand aerial and went back to the old wire set-top one!
I'm in a good signal strength area (obviously, if I get channel 5 on a set-top aerial) so God knows what this aerial is like in a poor reception area! (...and I tried it with both batteries and a 12Vdc power supply).

Useless purchase
The signal booster advertised as a companion purchase to the 3.5 small screen TV is of no use. The TV has no connection for an external aerial. Read more

waste of money
it was advertised as an aerial to help receptionon on a 4.5in tv , the only problem is there is no where to connect it to waste of money

Makes no sense
Tried this on my mini tv/ dvd player. Made no difference. Total waste of money. Would not pick up analog or digital reception, even with new batteries fitted. Read more
