Fun:
If you are a PC gamer and enjoy a good Single Player First person Shooter with some depth, then this is simply a must have. I have played the game twice now and I must say that it is excellent. Very original game, story line and setting as well as level design and a new twist to the FPS genre. I like the puzzle element beside the FPS, it is almost a role playing game, but goes further than most FPS in terms of giving more elements to the game play. Most excellent, takes a little getting into, but you will be hooked!

Fun:
To be honest this game never appealed to me from the brief adverts and intros I had seen of it. But when the price went down and I saw all the positive reviews on Amazon I thought I would give it a shot. And I am very happy I did!

This game is a standard first-person shooter with all the standard weapons you'd expect, but with the addition of special weapons that come from the characters left hand like the ability to make an enemy attack the nearest person (which is hopefully another enemy and not you), send a swarm of bees to attack multiple enemies or electrocute someone (very effective if they standing in water).

This isn't Call of Duty, you are given an objective but there are many places to explore outside of the main route where you will find special powers or upgrades. The enemy is fast and hard to kill and different enemies required different tactics and weapons to kill them. You can hack things, upgrade weapons, drink alcohol to replenish energy...

Definitely recommend this game and story is very interesting also.

Fun:
About 4 years ago when this game was first released, for some bizarre reason I dismissed it as "this looks stupid". However, I saw it on Amazon cheap the other day cheap and read good reviews and decided to give it a go. All I can say is I was an idiot for thinking it looked stupid. This has to be one of the best games I've played in a long time.

The year is 1960 and you're sat on a plane flying over the Atlantic. From where you've come or where you're going it does not say. The plane crashes and you are (I think) the only survivor. You swim to the top of the surface to see the broken wreckage of the plane all around you, burning. In the near distance a tiny island of rock with a tall building on it. This is where you'll first notice how fantastic the graphics are, even by 2012 standards.

You swim to the island and enter the building to find an elevator. Once inside you descend down in to the ocean to an underwater city called Rapture, built by a man who wanted to create a society without the "restraints" of morality, where scientists can try to improve the human race through augmentations and experimentation.

Unfortunately, by the time you arrive society has, as might be expected, descended in to chaos. Experiments have turned people in to drooling idiots who seem to have only one goal: Smash your head in with a wrench. Mad scientists, creepy little girls and gigantic metal constructions with drills for arms.

You pick up a radio and are guided through the underwater city by a man who wants you to help him rescue his family who are trapped somewhere in the city. For as far as I've got, that seems to be the goal of the game. Weapons include wrenches, revolvers, tommy guns, shotguns, robots which shoot at you but can be hacked to fight on your side.

You have hit points and something called EVE, which you'll recognize as mana. You can inject yourself with augmentations created by mad scientists which work like the powers of a mage. Shoot lightning from your hand which stuns foes and damages enemies weak to electricity, fire to incinerate people, telekenesis to throw objects at your enemies with the mind and so forth. So you have conventional weapons (guns) and the magical powers created by mad scientists. The whole system works really well and is very satisfying to use.

The game runs flawlessly. It isn't a shoddy console port it's a bonafide PC game. I give it 10 stars out of 5, I love it and you probably will too.
