Having had sad accidents with the compost bin's predecessors (both made of crockery) I turned to this in despair. Now it's delight. The inner bucket comes out - and bounces if you drop it! It's easy to clean and there's nothing for smells to cling to. Excellent.

This is a very nifty product. Over the past few months I've used various containers for kitchen waste but none of them was satisfactory, this is a really good solution. It takes up just enough room to be really useful, but not so much that it overwhelms your kitchen space. I like the fact that it looks good, the plastic insert is very good as it allows the contents to do their thing without rusting the bucket or staining the surface, it's handy to take out to the garden composter and the rubber insert in the lid prevents any unpleasant odours escaping. All in all a very good product and well worth the money spent.
