Reviews

Box set featuring three films from writer-director M. Night Shyamalan. 'The Sixth Sense' (1999) begins with child psychologist Malcolm Crowe (Bruce Willis) being shot by a former patient, who then also kills himself. Feeling responsible for the death, Crowe sees a chance to assuage his guilt by helping the troubled young Cole Sear (Haley Joel Osment), who claims to be haunted by ghosts. As the bond between the doctor and his charge grows, Crowe becomes more and more estranged from his wife, who he suspects of having an affair. In 'Unbreakable' (2000) David Dunn (Willis), the sole survivor of one of the worst train crashes in US history, is unable to explain why he should have been spared the terrible fate which befell all his fellow passengers. But then, when he meets the mysterious Elijah Price (Samuel L. Jackson), he is encouraged to begin asking himself important questions. Why has he never fallen sick? Why has he never been injured? What purpose could there be to his special gifts? In 'Signs' (2002) widower and ex-minister Graham Hess (Mel Gibson) reassures his two young children that everything is going to be OK when crop circles begin mysteriously appearing in the fields of Bucks County, Pennsylvania. But sightings of an alien figure around the Hess farm, along with news that crop circles are appearing all over the world, soon has everyone anticipating the worse. All the signs point towards an extra-terrestrial visitation, but will it be a friendly encounter or a hostile invasion?

3 great movies from the mind of M.Night Shyamalan which mix both the sci-fi and psychological thriller genres to produce some fantastic and riveting viewing.
Also comes in a well made boxset. These types of boxsets with 2-3 movies in them should be released in the uk more often. They release many items like this in the US like 3 Harrison ford movies, 3 sci-fis and action movies at reasonable prices rather than the single blu ray movies. I now buy these region free from the US!

Three great films from the master M. Night Shayamalan. Signs is creepy and it makes you think you never know. The sixth sense is the best of the three, and has the best ending in film history. Unbreakable is just pure class and the best Blu-ray picture quality of all three, and for me it has the best soundtrack. All soundtracks were done by james newton Howard, and if you can get them on cd they are a must.

This box-set is just brilliant, and what a cheap price, it works out cheaper than if you brought the films separately. The only film i am waiting for is the village, now that has a beautiful soundtrack.

Signs 4/5 Blu-ray 4/5
sixth sense 5/5 Blu-ray 4/5
unbreakable 5/5 Blu-ray 5/5

Three decent films from a filmmaker who had potential to be great but soon 'lost it' with a series of bad films. Hard to pick a favourite from this collection as they all hold a certain charm.

Well priced compilation, the six sense is a great film with a good plot twist. Unbreakable is another great film, an interesting take on the superhero/villain genre. The there's signs which is ok.

Before Mr Shyamalan started making terrible films, he made these 3 gems.
All 3 are the normal blu ray versions, not the slim style you get in most box sets, with extras on each.
They are in a standard card case to keep them together.
I got it for £8 in a recent daily deal offer so am very pleased with it.
Pity it took amazon so long to despatch it, if you are going to sell these items, at least be ready to post them.
