I bought this to finally replace an SBLive card that i'd fooled myself into thinking was still reasonable. Ten years passed quickly!
This card is very functional as far as I can tell and the Windows 7 ASIO drivers, once you manage to find them, drive the card very well also. I can't say i've had it long enough to really test it but sound quality is good and it shows no signs of any latency, which was my main reason for buying a bottom of the line pro audio card rather than weak mid-range gaming card.
The only drawback is the lack of power management support to allow the machine to sleep with this card inside it, which I think might apply to all versions of Windows, not just 7. It seems there may be a somewhat complicated workaround for that but so far no luck in getting it to work. From reading around I get the impression that M-Audio aren't particularly responsive to such issues, and there doesn't seem to be any official response to this one, so that seems a fair assessment.
4 because it does what I bought it for 100%
-1 because it's wasting my electricity not letting my machine sleep.
