It seems to me that two groups of people might not like this product: those who are more advanced in their Pilates work (fair enough) or those who can't believe that something so apparently gentle can be doing anything and who give up after one or two sessions. I was given this as a present, because I regularly use (and love) the marvellous Lynne Robinson's *Weekly Workout*. This one with Fern is not as challenging as that, granted, but it is relaxing and fun and of course has excellent instruction, and it is nice to be able to fit shorter sessions into different parts of my day. I don't use it to replace WW but as a supplement on days when I wouldn't perhaps otherwise do my Pilates. And Fern is lovely, plus it is good to see Lynne correct her form, very useful for me and something WW does not have. And yes, I think it's great that a 'larger lady' is on an exercise DVD/vid, but you don't have to be large yourself to enjoy this (I'm a size ten, though I used to be enormous once), nor a woman (my man likes it), you just have to enjoy attention to detail.

It is wonderful to see a larger woman in a fitness video, as it goes to show that, whatever your size, it is possible to achieve strength and flexibility and a good posture - which Fern obviously has.
The exercise routine is gentle and helps to focus your mind on your body to ensure that you get the movements right. I am a beginner to Pilates and have found it easy to follow the routines. I would definitely recommend this to other beginners. The 20 minute routines are easy to fit into a busy schedule.

I think it's actually quite refreshing to have an exercise programme that "larger ladies" (to quote the last review) can do. I've enjoyed the DVD, am getting a lot out of it as I've only just mastered the basics. I'm doing two workouts a week and already feel much better for it. Lynne Robinson's instructions are clear and sensible, I would recommend this.

I know Fern has lost weight since this DVD was published, but it really is great. So nice to see exercises being done by a normal sized person instead of skinny minnies! Has helped me become more flexible, and would recommend it to anyone.
