See our Lynne exert the least amount of energy as she takes you into her interpretation of what exercise is all about. Lynne takes a troupe of girls through her routine whilst enjoying a fantasy elsewhere with a bevvy of young men.
I wrote the script for this Video and was instrumental in creating the idea of Lynne Perrie doing what she enjoyed doing best on VHS for at the time many other 'soap stars' were presenting Keep Fit videos. Lynne liked to drink brandy, enjoyed her life as a celebrity and why not! The end result was a complete farce that failed on all levels. Some good lines I wrote included Lynne in a hot tub with three young men as they rubbed her back with soap she says 'Are you sure that's a loofa?' And another scene in which Lynne is rubbing oil into the back of naked young man face down on a sun bed, she turns to camera and says 'Don't forget to wear dark glasses when you're doing this girls, it could make to go blind'. Lynne was great fun to work with and I was there helping behind the scenes when she did her now infamous 'I WILL SURVIVE' sing song performance on THE WORD. RIP Lynne Perrie.
There are some things out there that don't deserve to be so obscure, and this gem is one of them. Free from 'Coronation Street' in 1994, Lynne Perrie, once known as the show's Ivy Tilsley, became something of a loose canon, and in her tell-all book, and now legendary TV appearance on 'The Word', she made no secret of her appetite for toyboys.
In the Summer of 1995, Lynne gave us this gem of a video, which has to be seen to be believed. As you've never seen her before, the pint-sized performer takes a group of women through her exercise routine, whilst enjoying herself via the company of toned young men. Lots of laughs are assured, as Lynne makes smutty, frankly hilarious remarks whilst watching the men work out, as well as helping them out of their clothing. This has often be described by the media of 'soft porn', but it really isn't, it's a comedy.
'Lynne Perrie's Alternative Workout' will provide any Lynne fan with almost an hour of laughs. It's amateurish, low culture, and sleazy, but the things she comes out with always crease me up. Sod the exercise (of what little there is), and enjoy the fun. RIP Lynne Perrie!
