The HTC Desire HD is not a cheap phone and was at one point was hands down the best phone on the planet with it's plethora of features, Android OS and massive screen. So if you get this phone you ought to be dead set on protecting it.
The leather is nice but had some minor scratches, but still well done, the stitching is flawless, there is a hole on the back for the camera, speaker and flash and the phone sits in the case extremely snugly.
However I have had this cover for over three months and there are some issues.
In regards to delivery, I am guessing the case comes from China and you will need to wait 2 weeks for this to arrive in the UK, which isn't great. As snug as the fit is, twice I have tried to carefully remove the phone and twice it has caught the battery compartment and ripped it right off and let the battery out. (the clip encompasses far too much of the phone and therefore makes it too tight) The size of the leather covering the phone is a big issue also, the surface area of the leather is not large enough to extend around the sides of the phone and the plastic gripping the your mobile. The plastic clips on the side actually stick out. What this means is that if you were to drop your phone, and should it land on it's side, all the trauma from the shock would go straight into the plastic and phone itself, not the leather. Unfortunately I dropped my phone today, something I haven't done at all so far, and just my luck it landed on it's side. The plastic instantly cracked off and I have a nice amount of scratching on the side of my phone. I am pretty peeved, but the design flaws were something I noticed from the beginning, I should have just returned the flip case right from the start.
The flip case would be great if the design was tweaked just a little, but the flaw is so glaring that in my opinion, it isn't worth risking your phone for and you should look elsewhere.
